The Nursing and Midwifery Council needed a robust and comprehensive financial analysis of the organisation in order to support financial planning and negotiations on registration fees. Andrew developed two linked models – the first of which was an activity based costing model of the Fitness to Practice directorate which provided a much improved analysis of the fixed and variable costs of this key functional area. The second model provided a financial forecast of the organisation as a whole and allowed the impact of activity, staffing and registration fee scenarios to be analysed.
