Short Term Gas Balancing Model
The short term gas balancing team needed to gain a much more comprehensive and accurate picture of gas supply and demand on a daily basis for the short planning period for which they are responsible. Andrew worked closely with the team to develop a multi-purpose forecasting and reporting tool which enables the team to capture all gas flows under a range of price scenarios and accurately record and predict both the daily balance of supply and demand and the company’s exposure to movements in gas prices. The model subsequently won a company award for operational innovation
